Episodes App Reviews

The app itself is great, although I bought it for the sync to trakt.tv database which is not available. Would it have this sync, I guess some tiny marketing around a few forums would bring it a long way, as there is no desktop app for trakt so far. Too bad.

trakt.tv integration not working properly (maybe after change or update of trakt.tv). App needs fix of this issue. Cause that’s the one of a specification that i purchased app.

Love the fact this has trakt.tv support, but would be a 5-Star App if actully used it more then just to update what you are watching at the time. Please add sync with trakt.tv to grab your shows, as wel as update what you watched/to see/etc… the nice thing about trakt.tv is that you can use multiple devices/portals to sync your tv shows (and wathced info). There is no good OSX app to do that now, so this is added to this program it would be the best trakt.tv OSX app out there.

Love it

I love it for keeping track of TV series. Lots of room for improvements.

I have always wanted a good application to keep up with TV shows I’m watching and / or intend to watch or catch up with. This application seems to be exactly what I’ve wanted. I have not yet searched for any show that I couldn’t find in the database; and that has not been true of other applications I’ve tried. This application also makes it very easy to mark episodes that have been watched. You can do so individually but can also do an entire season(s). (HINT: Click on the first episode & shift click on the last and mark them watched from the menu command.) This porgram also keeps track of special episodes, previews, etc. if you set it to do that in the preferences. If there are no more unseen episodes, the program falls into the archives and remains there until new episodes are available … better than clogging up the list of items needed to catch up on. I frequently have a long list of shows I’m interested in but don’t want to focus on at the present time. This program allows a show to be designated a favorite which moves it to a list with higher priority … away from the shows of lower priority. That’s a great touch. The application also gives a synopsis of each episode. The app also allows for the association of an episode with a file on your hard drive; but that is not something I’m interested in. All in all, the application is almost perfect. About the only thing I would like to see would be the ability to add a short note regarding an episode or series. I’d also like to see an iOS version that syncs with the desktop through iCloud … but maybe that will happen in the future.

My biggest mistake was getting the paid version first. Instead, I jumped in at the $8 level. What a mistake. TV shows are missing from this app, despite the fact that they are available in the TVDB database, which they use as their source. Emails to their support team are now going unanwered. Apparently, their business model was written by the Steve Miller Band - "Take The Money and Run". If you want to throw away $8, this is the place. Otherwise, steer clear.
